Pally

Privacy Policy

How Pally collects, uses and protects personal information.

Last updated: 24 August 2026

1. Who we are

Pally is a fitness, nutrition, training and accountability app operated by ORIGIN. In this policy, “Pally”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean ORIGIN operating the Pally app.

For privacy questions or requests, email hello@originagency.uk.

2. Information Pally may collect

Depending on the features you choose to use, Pally may collect:

  • Account information, such as your email address and profile details.
  • Fitness, nutrition and wellbeing information, such as your goals, food and meal logs, calorie and macro targets, workouts, activity, steps, sleep, hydration, weight, measurements and progress entries.
  • Photos and camera input when you choose to scan a barcode, analyse a meal photo or add a progress photo.
  • Coach content, including messages, voice input when you use it, and the relevant Pally context needed to answer your request.
  • Optional Apple Health information that you explicitly choose to connect or share with Pally.
  • Technical information needed to keep the app secure and reliable, such as device, app-version and diagnostic information.
  • Feedback you send us during the beta.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • create and secure your account;
  • show your food, training, goal and progress information inside Pally;
  • provide Pally Coach responses and optional photo-based food estimates;
  • sync your information between devices when cloud sync is enabled;
  • improve reliability, investigate issues and respond to feedback;
  • protect Pally, our users and our services from misuse; and
  • meet legal obligations where they apply.

Pally is a wellbeing and fitness product. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or emergency services.

4. Health and sensitive information

Information such as weight, nutrition, activity, sleep, body measurements and progress photos may be health-related or otherwise sensitive. We only process this information to provide the Pally features you choose to use, with your consent where required by law.

You control whether to grant camera, photo-library, microphone or Apple Health permissions. You can change device permissions in your iPhone settings. Disconnecting Apple Health stops future sharing, but does not automatically remove data already saved in Pally.

5. Services that help us run Pally

We use carefully selected service providers to operate the app. They may process information only for the services they provide to us. These currently include:

  • Supabase for authentication, secure database services and storage;
  • AI service providers to generate Pally Coach replies and, when you choose to use it, photo-based meal estimates; and
  • Open Food Facts for food and barcode lookup.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your individual health information for advertising.

6. Sharing and international transfers

We share information only with service providers that help deliver Pally, where you ask us to, where required by law, or to protect the safety and security of Pally and its users.

Some providers may process information outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where this happens, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep account and app data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards when needed for security, legal, support or backup purposes.

You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@originagency.uk from the email address linked to your Pally account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, and to receive a portable copy of it. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

If you are in the UK, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how we handle your information.

9. Children

Pally is not intended for children under 16. Do not create an account or provide personal information if you are under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Pally develops or as our legal obligations change. We will publish the current version here and update the “Last updated” date below.
